"This vs. That" is a concept thoroughly intriguing me of late: What is the difference behind two (or more) closely related words, phrases, objects, subjects, or commonly-held beliefs, and how will examining, explaining, and possibly incorporating the differences between said entities benefit my life?
Most people do not care or waste an ounce of energy making common assertions about the follies and fallacies passed down from generation to generation by oral tradition or poorly edited text, or, when, in a more complicated fashion, a great mind of the past (or their time) used (uses) a certain word, phrase, object, subject, or culturally-held belief in a non-traditional framework, propagating a new, more widely incorporated connotation of said entities.
Basically, connotation and denotation are the enemies of civil and academic communication.

This label will strive to limit, or dare I say, dissipate the cloud of eternal confusion hovering over light, early-morning discussion; heated, afternoon discourse; flirtatious, late-night banter; or the less-than-desired, alcohol-induced descanting of your best friend whenever I encounter a worthy example to discuss.
With this introduction provided, I encourage--no--I demand you partake in the discussion this label will provide. One of the main reasons I love words and the entirety of the English language stems from its purely flexible, non-absolute nature, which should (does) provide much "wiggle-room" for educated, invigorating debate.
