~one day~
wish upon a star for me,
go and do just that.
run along a wave soaken beach,
where lovers one sat.
blow out the candles and smile
and make sure all can see
throw a penny in a well
and wish this wish for me.
there are things i’ve done;
there’s been others i won’t mention;
but nothing seemed to work;
i could never get her attention.
but i never stopped dreaming
and the only thing i could say,
was that she would be mine,
she would love me one day
