~Unanswered Prayers Answered~
As his coffee cools,
the door shades the light,
from the facading fools
that flock there by night.
Out, he blows the candle,
yet still sits in the mist,
for he grew to handle
her hyperbolic hiss.
His whole life he’s wished
for answered his prayers to be;
longing for her kiss
an underlining decree.
She is happy; someone must have heard.
He is happy with his dream deferred.
