sequel to harder than wood
you awake again
with her image gone
and a sweet melody playing
of a new love song
for your pain from the wood
has rotted away
and the sun has risen
on another beautiful day
now there is a flower
that helps you grow
for she is your soil
keeping the water aflow
but there are reasons you cannot speak
so again there is a problem
and you must keep your bud closed
so your feelings will not blossom
you have to be sure
and you want it so bad
for that rose in your life
is what you never had
you pray to stay away
from the hard wood and not settle
because your newly found flower
has magic in each petal
things would be perfect
