~The Setting Sun~
“Nothing lasts forever,”
this is what some people say.
I never believed this before
until I waved goodbye that day.
Your touch and your stare
became sensations of the mind,
and the feeling of your hair beneath my fingers
vanished over time.
However, each dance and smile you gave me
can vividly be described:
cheek to cheek,
side by side.
Well, I’ve said goodbye
in more ways than one,
but I’ll still always search for you
under the setting sun.
