Most Wanted Posters - Sunday

~Juliet’s Fear~

On the floor, by her bed, she sits;
tears fall like petals.
Her memories are quite clear,
but her heart struggles, breaks, and settles.
Picture after picture, the pain grows.
Her last breath belonged to him.
He made her feel like a queen—
sexy and beautiful to the brim.
Separated by beliefs,
the pain cuts like a cross
and this time prayers to her Lord
won’t fill the emptiness of her loss.
She lifts her tear soaken face,
and catches a glimpse in the mirror.
She notices her eyes are still strong
and without a hint of Juliet’s fear.
She didn’t feel much beautiful before him,
(a girl needs to feel pretty,)
but now her eyes still shine with promise
and her cheeks flush with zeal.
She’s cried all that she can;
she can’t cry anymore.
She takes to her feet,
both planted firmly on the floor.
The needle, she is now,
she can believe that for true.
Because in the mirror her eyes shine like sunset,
clear over a sea of deep blue.
Her broken faith
might never mend,
but her broken heart
will be crucified in the end.
She’s a girl with promise,
with dreams of a true love.
Temptations will be only in the word
and her strength won’t come from above.
It will spew from her
as well as her man
because in his eyes
the impossible “can.”
Her truth is admirable
her patience, a virtue.
And girls like her
are so utterly few.
She walks out of her room,
pictures left behind,
with aspirations of a new life
and new dreams in due time.
